Ignacy Gaydamovich, cello
Éva Polgár, piano

East Tennessee State University Associate Professor of Music, cellist Ignacy Gaydamovich, appears in recital with ETSU piano professor, pianist Éva Polgár. The program explores distinctive 20th-century voices:

  • Igor Stravinsky – Suite italienne: a witty and neoclassical reimagining of themes from Pulcinella.

  • Dmitri Shostakovich – Sonata for Cello and Piano: a deeply personal work, marked by lyricism, irony, and intensity.

  • Iván Madarász - Lot’s Prayer (US Premiere)

  • TBD

Together, these works illuminate the cello’s expressive spectrum, from lyric songfulness to dazzling virtuosity.
